I got a pair of 8 inch subs from factory Sony systems in f150s. I want to Build a fourth order for them. Sony seemed confused when I asked for ts specs. That being said I just want a general design. I can figure out dimensions,I just need an idea on volumes for sealed and ported. I also don't know what tuning to aim for on the ported side. All help is appreciated.
Zeus zxi60.4+1k on highs
Mmats 3k .5 ohm on sub
Jl audio c5 6.5 component set front
Polk db 6x9 rears
Treo csx 15 3.6 cubes @32hz
well just try and make a 3:1 ratio to the size you need or have to fit and leave the ported side untuned (big hole) for port then find the impedance spike on a sweep or the peak hz and thats where you tune....if it peaks to high 55 to 60hz put some polyfill in sealed section that will lower the tune hz
