ok so i spent some time designing a box this is what i came up with. i used re audio calculator to get cut out and makes things easier for me. i also used winisd pro alpha to get exact tuning.
is for 2 HDC418's
box outside dimensions 42" wide x 32" tall x 22" deep
port 40.5" wide x 5" tall x 24.5" deep
18.21"^2 of port area per square ft
box net of 11.116^3 ft
subwoofers take up .33ft^3 each
box tuned at 36.72 HZ
box is 14.65^3 ft before any displacements
cut out list
sides 32" x 22"
top 21.25" x 40.5"
bottom 20.5" x 40.5"
back 32" x 40.5"
front 26.25" x 40.5" X 2
port wall 15.5" x 40.5"
now the 2nd front panel will be added onto the front and stick out making the box 22.75" deep total. i just wanted to post this because there is not much info on a grand Cherokee to know what size box will fit between wheel well. also this box should slide right through the back door.

The port area is a bit large...id stay around 15 square inches of port per cube....and Power the tune as well to around 34 or 33

they will be on the stetsom 10kd. i tuned to what it is at because i know with my hdc3's even at a higher tuning they would play low. also it was recommended to use 17"^2 of port per sq ft.
that ami customs i trust his write ups...but he allways leans towards the SPL side of things...he is doing 62's tuned to 36hz...what he calls lows are anything below 35hz...i call lows anything below 30hz....my point is wherever you tune expect a huge drop off 5hz below tuning....and in high power setups this can cause damage to subs....and as far as the 17 to 18 square inches of port per cube....he recomends 17-18 SQ recomends 14 to 16.....id stay around 15+ or right at 16...the more port area you have the sharper it falls off below tuning

thank you for the info i can change it any time so its no big deal to me. i will prolly adjust it more some other time. it is one way for me to go though. i may have to do a removable port. i just can not get the port short enough to do it.

Thanks man. I have a 97 grand cherokee and just bought two Incriminator 18's and needed a box design. I kinda wanted to do a sealed setup but IA's website on my phone wasn't giving me any box info other than the woofer displacement. Any thoughts? Ive tried the search button.
