Default Ported/Sealed

I just ordered 2 L7 12 dual 4 ohms and they came with a free 2.7 cubed sealed box. I figured since it came free I'd use that but since this will be my first system I want to do it right. I've been thinking really hard about getting a ported box but the only thing is I really dont have much room. I know this will be a half ass install but the box is gonna be sitting on the back seat of my truck(crew cab tacoma). I want to order a TCAB but I dunno if I will have room for it. Here's my question, would a 3 or 4 cubed ported box be enough for my 2 l7s? And, would I lose much SQ going from sealed to ported?

with l7's i wouldn't worry about SQ.. If the box is built properly you probably wont notice much of a difference yet you'll see significant gains in SPL. I'm not too familiar with L7 box designs, but i'd guess you would want 2-2.5 cu ft per sub if possible.

i would give each sub at least 3 cubes if you can....and tune to about 30hz that will give you some good lows.......but i know you have a truck and that can be a bitch with the space.......
