Ok... my box is almost done, but I have a question. It's a bit of a complex unique design and for everything to work out right and look nice, my 6" port is angled on both ends because the box itself is angled. Similar to the figure below:
My question is how will this effect port noise? Port area should still remain the same, but sadly, I don't think I'll be able to flare the edges now. I thought the angle might actually even help because the inlet should have more area for air to enter and be directed out of the port. Has anyone else ever tried anything similar to this? I'm goin to try to take some pictures of the box later tonight before I paint it. It's turned out really good so far... just need to finish sanding the fiberglass corners.
I don't think it will be a problem.. though, because of turbulance at the top because of the length distance, I would say the air would be blowing up toward the top of the box. No other problem than that though. Of course.. I know nothing as I will be shown in just a short while
