Default Scosche boom stick, accurate?

I just recently bought a boomstick db meter from walmart, figured what the hell can always take it back and get my money back. Are these things accurate, anyone use one on here? it says it max's out at 130db. Im just wondering if anyone that has one has gotten it to read 130 db or higher?

And i notice when i use it, no matter where i have it in my Car it reads the same number, and you think placing it under the wind shield and under the back windsheild and such there would be a noticable change but its identical give or take +-1db

I just put it back in the package now and have the receipt handy.

Yea like its really F'd up i turned it on in my room out of the package and it said like 40-50 db and theres no noise in my room besides that of my computer running. Then having it on in my car, with Car running. it reads like 70-80. Then i can have it right next to my sub, and it read at most 128.9..high as it would go(which may be accurate for my system, but still i wouldnt put all my trust in a $24 piece of equipment from a store) Thats why im hoping ROE will rent out a term lab.

My buddy that works at walmart seen me with it and hes like THOSE THINGS DONT WORK!! Lol now i have to waste gas money to go to take it back.
