CD player Skipping

anything i can do to kill the skipping

turn down the bass? . this is usually caused by a poor/aging anti-skip of a hu. most dampners that are used contain oil and when that dries out, the ability of protect from vibrations is greatly affected.

if you cant turn it down (which most of us cant lol) you might think about replacing it with something that has a memory for the anti skip

ya depends on what you call cheap, check out some of the cheaper clarion and panasonic some of them should have the anti skip memory

sony has a new h/u that has a detachable face that you can download music to its the MEX-1GP. thers one on the crutchfield site with alot of pics. theres an artical on it at Car audio online also.
