Default 8V pre out or 5V pre out

Well i have a question??? Im thinking of getting the Eclipse CD7200 MKII or Eclipse CD5000 cause of the 8v pre out.... or the other option would be the Eclipse AVN6620 or the JVC KW-NX7000 and these cause they are screens and have Navigation System, Dvd, etc. with a 5v pre out. Im not planning on entering any competitions just want to know if the 8 volt over the 5 volt would make that much of a difference or enough to sway me away from the screens..... any help would be appreciated!!!

buy the one with better overall qualitites and specs even if its 5volt then get a nice eq or line driver. you would notice a big difference with 5 to 8

Not sure about the Eclipse's but I wouldn't get the JVC, my aunt has one in her caddy and it is junk for the $975 she spent on it imo.

$55 shipped and it'll push out up to 13v

here is a link to some info on it.
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=1270

it comes with the original box, manual, ect.. and is in great shape. looks brand new, but it is slightly used.

5v pre-out, why the hell do you even need a line driver?

it just boost the output voltage and gives you're amp a cleaner signal so it dont have to work so hard. its very nice to have.

most of your nicer head units come with built in eq's that'll suit the average user's needs.

if you get the 5v pre-out deck, you do not need a line driver, and possibly no eq either as the 5000 has a pretty decent one built into it. You trying to run a high end sq setup?

i personally would go with the eclipse 7200 mkII, but even if you go with the 5v, the overdrive or similar WOULD help you out in the long run. and depending on the EQ function of the HU a EQ might be better off, but if its got a nice EQ and lets say 4v-5v (cough my 7800mp) the line driver will make a noticeable difference. just my .02

dude, I don't see a real necessity for that much voltage on your low level input. Anyway, you will never get 8 volts out of it, that's not the rms value, peak maybe.

at 13 volts input, you probably won't have to even turn the gain up on your amplifier. have you any experience with this stuff? I smell clipping...
