ta does help with imaging. although that deck isn't an active deck so if you want it setup to sound the same from both front seats then ta wont help you much.
the jvc does have bt, pandora mode, and a better DAC, which is another part of the premium cost.

i should say, if you have a rear fill or are running your mids off rear and tweets off front you could do a little more and likely could help everything out.
edit:i was reading the manual wrong. it has full ta controls.

Between the JVC and Kenwood, is one more reliable than the other? The both have pretty much the same features, but is one brand better than the other?
between those 2 I would take the kenwood. however....If you can spend in the $250-260 range you can get the Pioneer 80prs and you will truly go to the next level.
I realize they are owned by the same company but I have always found the menus make more sense on the Kenwoods. It could just come down to personal preference.
Going back to my other statement....At the price of the 80prs it almost is a no brainer to anyone serious about sound to spend a few bucks more.

he asked about reliability. I highly doubt reliability will be any different when both decks come from the same factory.
As far as menus go i haven't used any kenwoods but i have a 2012 model jvc deck in my work van and the menu's are about the only ones i could bear this side of pioneer. No where near as cryptic as alpines.
