Default 2 sets of comps, 4ch amp, one set of rcas

Long time no post lol, Anyways ive got two sets of componets coming in, a set of Helix E62C's and a set of Focal IS165's. Im running a JVC KDHDR20

It only has a sub/rear(already using for sub) and a front rca output. Ive got a couple 4 channel amps i may be able to use and im wanting to Power both sets of comps with one of these amps.

How can i keep fade and left/right seperation or whatever with this setup?

You can't have both unless you use spliters on the rear channel or just Power the rear fill off of the head unit. I have a kdhdr60 and using splinters on the rear channel is gonna kill your Rca voltage and in turn cause you to use a lot more gain on your amps. I'd just use the headunit cause your rear fill doesn't need to be super powerful or it will drag all the music back to the center of Car instead of in front of you. I only use a front stage. No rear fill at all.

Thanks for the info...i planned on putting the Helix set up front and the tweets by the a-pillar or dash and install the focals mids in the rear doors and the focal tweets up front also but i may go a different route once i get them if im only going to power one set.

I may trade both of these 4ch amps for a decent 2ch amp instead too.

What amps? I have some minty early 90s Sony amps that I wouldn't mind trading. They put out around 50 rms x2 at 4 ohms and are the size of two cigarette packs side by side so you can hide them inside panels. Superb sound quality and thd of .005 percent.

here's what i would do.

run front rca output to channel 1/2 of the 4channel, run rear to rca splitters, then run one side of the splitters to channel 3/4 of the 4channel. run the other side of that splitter to a pac lc1 bass knob, inline with your sub rca's. that way you could fade, then just adjust your sub level to compensate for the fade. or you could skip the lc1 depending on if your sub amp has a quality bass knob.

Profundus that sounds like a good idea ill look into that.

Im still waiting on these 4channel amps(trading for one and one is being given to me) so once i get them ill figure somethin out.. i think i may end up just using channels 1&2 on the fronts and leave 3&4 empty, and just power rears off hu. id rather trade the amps for a 2ch amp though instead of using a 4ch amp lol

well ive got another question(ive not kept up with audio in over 6 years lol)

i plan on having my Helix set in the front doors, and placing the tweeters in the dash or somewhere around there.. then putting the other set(alpine type s set now) in the rear doors but running the tweeters from them also to the front. if i wired those two sets to the 4 channel amp(helix to ch1&2, alpine to ch3&4) would my music still sound proper? im assuming i would just lose the ability to fade correct? would i be better off leaving the other set off the amp and just power them off the head unit?

i think your tweets would be too strong like that. You would have no way to dial them back.
