Default Question about BASH 300S Plate Amp

So ive had this amp that ive bought from the ROE store (of course) ; )

ive been running it at 2 ohm..and just got some new speakers that are 8 ohm SVC 100watts RMS.

I was wondering if the amp can run at 8 ohm and if so, whats the RMS?

How about at 2 and 1 ohm?

BTW- the amp is 300watts RMS @ 4 ohm

Thanks,
Mike~

at 8 ohms expect about 100-150 rms, I wouldn't run the amp below 4 ohms, but if you wanted to I don't think it would put out that much more Power & be stable.

You can run tha amp @ 4 ohm or 16 ohm since tha subs are single 8.
One subs w/single 8 = 8 ohm load, 2 single 8's = 4 or 16.

Thanks for the replys!

How would i run them at 16ohm? + to - from one sub to the other?

Think it would be around 90watts RMS at that?

I have them hooked up at 4ohm right now free airing, when i get to half way Power with the "gain" it blows the fuse : (

Thanks again,
Mike~

Are you sure the subs are 8 ohm?

I don't see why you would be blowing the fuse on the amp if you're running the amp at 4 ohms, sounds weird. I don't know if free airing would create that problem, but it shouldn't be blowing fuses unless you have problems with that wall outlet, try a different wall or throw them in a box real quick, just to check.

@ 16 ohms by the numbers you're looking at 75 rms total, so 32.5 rms each sub.

Thanks for the reply and info!

The outlet is fine, i know this for a fact.

I used to have my CVR 12" hooked to it and i could crank it all the time. Then one day i put in a cd that i made with stupidly low bass on it and it blew it. Got a box of the exact same fuses and it hasn't been the same since... It will blow them around 4/5 the way up now..

Thanks,
Mike~

EDIT - and yeah, right on the bottom of them they say 8ohm, thats the only ohm they come in.
