'Ello y'all... I've been looking 'round for a Caraudio fourm for a bit now. An after looking 'round on here I think I have found the one. Many of the fourms I'd looked at seemed to be filled with fairly inflexible minded people, an I've seen more flexibility and willingness to give Constructive criticism and less of the "not found here" attitude...
So, ahem, me...
I got started in electronics in the early 90's, and had formal training, courtesy of the U.S. Army, later... for the past 15 years I have been repairing missle launchers and radars for the military.
I first got into audio for home Hifi stereo and home theratre... only later did I start working on car systems.
I have designed and built numerous home setups from compact bookshelf stereos to large 7.2 home theaters for myself and others, mostly for the challenge and fun of it. Sometimes just to save some money, others to make something better than easily bought.
When it comes to my cars I often use hifi drivers instead of "car audio" parts and usaly Build my own crossovers, both passive and active...
Pleasure to meet y'all,
I hope we can learn from each other...
