Re: Computer Thread

that ssd ^ = SandForce Controller

sandforce has to many issue for me to help recomend that. though i hear firmwares have basically rid it of the bugs it once had. not everyone is smart enough to update the ssd firmware.

isnt looking like it though:
Have the Sandforce issues been fixed yet?

Re: Computer Thread

my ssd has the same controller as that one.... i've seen a lot of recommendations of sandforce.

Re: Computer Thread

I've heard bad things about sandforce.
I've heard bad things about pretty much every SSD out there though. Seriously. It seems like at least one person has an issue with every SSD. It's such a gamble. Ughhh. Everytime I go to get one, I see a negative review, I get cold feet. Hence I still don't have one...

That said...Sandforce in this, and it's currently one of the ones I'm considering...

It does seem a common occurance that with reviews on ssd's they are either 5 stars or 1 star ( a lot of doa's). But my two that I have I had zero problems with from with the start. I can highly recommend the corsair gt series

OCZ VTX3-25SAT3-120G Vertex 3 Solid State Drive - 120GB, 2.5, SATA III at TigerDirect.com

Granted I waited for a good discount on each I would still recommend them.

I was gonna get the 240 gb gt drive (love the red :D) but I was short on cash

EDIT: and both are sandforce

Darkmage1991 11-27-2012 04:26 PM

Re: Computer Thread

green theme.rar

here ya go try this. the icons im using isnt included in that as thats seperate part of the theming. i used resource hacker and manually changed the icons in the dll files. i forgot where i found the icons but i know i just searched for green icons. the start orb is a seperate part also using the windows start orb changer. and the green clock at the bottom is a modified timedate.cpl, i cant upload that as each one is unique for each windows install you gotta modified it yourself using resource hacker, i supplied the images though it you want to do it.

Darkmage1991 11-27-2012 04:27 PM

Re: Computer Thread

and i supplied rainmeter and the theme for it, it gives you the system info at the bottom of the taskbar as u can see on my left screen. when u use it you will have to change the color to green and then move to the taskbar and make them topmost and clickthrough.

also gave you the theme patcher. that is required to use this theme. so run it first if you havnt already patched ur system for custom themes.

Darkmage1991 11-27-2012 04:31 PM

Re: Computer Thread

let me know if that works iu just followed a google guide to export the theme =P
