saving money is all i do,i have my 9512 and im gettin a h/u and an amp,then i will have all i need for right now,but i think the type-r's are overrated by people who put them on a pedastle,its not everybody but a lot of people act like they are the best thing to happen to car audio,and yes they are good but there is better stuff out there,i just dont like sticking to one thing.

why go with JL if you are going to run it with Power Acoustik? P.A. doesnt deserve to be powered by JL amps.... how much do you want to spend on subs? and what are you looking for? something that gets loud? or gets loud and still sounds good?.. anyway.. alot of people run Type R's because of the price... heres an example..

say you have.. a.. i dunno.. some new bad a$$ sub.. cost around $400.. it gets loud and everyone is jealous of you.. and lets say i pull up with my Type R that i paid less than $200 for and im just as loud or louder than you are..

what im saying is.. there is no need to spend a $hit load of money on a sub if you can get something just as good or better and get just as loud and sound as good.. i mean if you have the money and dont care and just want the sub to have it, then that is different.. but in car audio in general, it isnt about spending the most money, its about buying the best you can with the money you have.... while some kids say they bought a Wal Mart amps and subs because they couldnt afford it, well they can.. they just cant save their money because they want a system right now.. save your money.. buy good equipment so you will have a system that pounds and sounds good and WILL LAST!..

yeah im gonna start my own thread so if you would can you put the question about the atomic in my thread please,thank you,well,back on topic,the setup sounds ok from the vids,but i've never personally heard it so i cant really judge it,but all in all,its not bad for a first setup,it should get a lot better once you get that other sub hooked up

nope,i've got a choice between,AQ HD3's(whatever size),DD9500,DD9900,or the DD9900z(whatever size i choose

haha,i would be willing to bet against that you can put more power to 6 12's than 4 15's,4 9915z's would take more power than 6 9512's,they have a stronger and lighter cone,bigger motor,and better cooling,but hey i may be wrong,but i think the 99z's would take more power,but the 12's would be cheaper,especially if i went with the AQ's,but the DD would be nice to have,i'll have to see how my 12 sounds in my car when i get my amp and H/U

6 12s would move way more air plus you can push more power into 6 12s than 4 15s

im not sure if it would move as much air as the 4 15's,thats why im not sure,it would be louder i know that,and i may even go with AQ, but boomboy,you can do much better,you could of got a DD1012 for the price of those two pyle's and you would have been louder,but if you like it and it satisfies you thats great,thats all that matters,its just for you,like my system is for me,until highschool is over,then im gonna get crazy with my car, but for what you have its not bad

thats a clean install,my second system is gonna step it up a notch,it either be 4 dd 9515's or 6 dd 9512's in a wall

im 14 and have 2 memphis PR 15s, a burnt 1000w kenwood amp, and my pc for a hu with an extra $900 that im saving up for an Atomic APXX 18

and my words to you boomboy: dont buy cheap stuff cecause thats all you can afford, keep saving and you will eventually have the money
