Saynkuck123 There is USACi, IASCA, MECA, NSPL, dB. Drag and SLAP. Those are the main organizations in the USA. They each do it differently. In Outlaw classes in USACi they have a little globe that goes around the sensor. The globe extends around the sensor about 3" in all directions. They allow you to put it anywhere forward of the B pillar. In all MECA SPL classes accept Radical X the sensor goes in the passenger side kick panel on a stand. There must be at least 2" of space in all directions around the sensor. Nothing can be within 2" of it. But in their modified class you have the option of running the sensor in the drivers side kick panel. So it all depends. You have to look up the rules for the class you are planning on running in. When I meter a system I throw the sensor in the far right hand corner of the passenger’s side kick panel, like they do in MECA and USACi.

blackonblacksls well i have been told the one in the winshield is for dbdrag. what else is there. where on the kick in the usaci. and when people say sealed up on the dash. where on the dash. cause lots of people use that. right. that seems to be the most common one i have heard.

Saynkuck123 Term-Lab!!!! I love mine. Anyway where the sensor goes depends on what body you are looking to run in. In MECA and USACi they allow you to have it in the kick panel in some classes.

SacMustang yup

and i meant to say center the mark between the suction cups
07-25-2006 12:12 AM
blackonblacksls alright thanks for the info. and you meter it sealed up. right. all windows up and doors closed.

SacMustang 6" from the passenger apiller 6" off the dash,
is DbDrag/bassrace legal.

so measure 6" to the left off the passenger apillar, make a mark on the glass.

at that point measure up off the dash 6"s and that should be very close to DB Drag/BassRace legal.

and just use the suction cups to stick it to the glass, center the suctions cups over your mark for the meter.

If you can't stick it, lick it.
