grandprixgtx lol. i got to type faster you beat me erthshker....lol

grandprixgtx Ok your car running puts out 14.4volts on a average, so thats why there ratted at that, but you just need a hc2400 and youd be fine, and youd never get 17volts out of a daily driver so never mind that rateing, and i know the colossus isnt over ratted not in my mind i was just saying the hk4000d puts out a remarkable amount of more power.
02-26-2007 03:18 PM
Erthshker 14.4v is the normal cars charging system....17v is an upgraded system which to accomplish u have to do alot of things i dont think ur willing to do....wouldnt b worth it unless u plan on running alot more than 2KW.
02-26-2007 03:14 PM
dr0bl0w3r still though...what does that mean @14.4V and at 17V?? how would you change from one to the other... it would be at 12V from the battery right? what would i have to do (electrical-wise)to hook it up at these volts?

I wouldnt go as far as saying tht the XX Collosus is overrated....but i would have to say tht those are good amps nd i would go w/ an HK series amp if u can, for the price they are sum of the best out there.

grandprixgtx Very good amp got its bigger brother the hk4000d and its awsome, my brother had the hk2000d on two ma audio xl1200's and its was loud, id recommend the hk2000d any day, and my brother never did turn the gain past 1/4 and we did once and it just kept getting louder, Id get it for the price and the power it puts out!!!!!!!

This would be powering a 15" TC3000. Good choice or not so good of choice?

Question:
RMS Power @ 14.4V: 750W @ 4 Ohm, 1000W @ 2 Ohm, 1500W @ 1 Ohm
RMS Power @ 17.0V: 1000W@ 4 Ohm, 1500W@ 2 Ohm, 1800W @ 1 Ohm

what does that mean "@ 14.4V" and "@ 17V"? how would i figure each?

Or should i just go with my first choice--hifonics bxi1606d?(@ $100 cheaper)
