gotslap? right im just saying you probably will never see that much power out of that amp unless you wire it to like 1 ohm

pizack5969 but so far from what ive gathered on other forums the da7232 cant operate at 1 ohm. The amp is essentially 2 da7122's in a single chassis. so the two channels are independent of each other. I dont wanna blow the amp by try to give it a 1 ohm load. But i may have missunderstood what you were trying to say i understand that the impedence change and can rise at resonance but, wont it return to 1 ohm on most frequncys? frying the amp? oh and its rated at 13.8 volts and i think it underrated but from how my sub is sounding now i dont think thats true. but that might be cause im running it in a sealed box that only 1.25 ft^3.

gotslap? well it might do 2000 at 2 ohms but youll have to wire it down to about 1 ohms or less (depending on impedence rise) to get a 2 ohm reactive load...so your probably actually working with around 1200-1600 watts (since youll wire it to 2 ohms and the reactive (actual load) will be around 3-3.5 ohms) but for SQL i would go with the 4 10's sealed facing up

Setup suggestion

This is my first post on this forum so id like to say hello to everyone.

so here the situation i have a eclipse da7232 and is supposedly puts out around 1000 @ 2 ohms x 2 so total 2000 rms capability on two channels but the channels arent bridgeable. In addition i have a orion H2 12.4 running parralled at 2 ohms on one channel so should be getting around 1000 watts all in a a scion tc .Now, i plan to run a new sub setup with the same amp. Ive come down to three different setups eigther 2 12"s sealed, 2 10's ported, or 4 10's sealed. So what would be a better idea if my goal is to have SQL? Is it a better idea to get 2 12's or 10's that are higher end and can handle 1000 rms? or 4 tens that can each handle 500? so far the Orion H2 has disappointed me. It needs so much power. even 1000 isnt enough for this power hog. I spent alot on this amp and it didnt do what i wanted it too. Ive had the sub for a while and sometimes i feel like throwing it against a wall. its so picky it wants soo much power and huge amounts of airspace peice of s***. so what should i do? I wasnt thinking about gettin the RE sx's or a ssa or soundsplinter. so, what would you get if you had 2000 rms to work with?
