Got any more pics/more details?

It sounds easy enough.

I will try using my grabber thing tomorrow for the doors.

your dash is slightly diffrent but i didnt go any deaper into the dash then you have. and my crossovers are in my doors so that was easy to get to. then i put tweets up top in the dash. so i went through the doors and once i got into the cab between the dash and the side of the truck i have a 1/8 gap i shoved the wire in there then went into the dash. i will go get a pic and yes i ran all new wire.

That would be great!

Or just tell me how to take the dash off.

I think I am on the last step.

The only thing left seems to be the huge one piece thing.

Did you take the stock wiring out or just leave it?

Well the amp kit I got has a bunch of speaker wire (14awg or so)

Would it be better to just run one cable from the speaker to the amp or would I even notice a difference?

the longer the run of wire the larger it should be. i would run 12 or 14 awg from the amp to the speakers, that grabber looks handy.

Re: How do I run speaker wire to each speaker? Need help taking the dash apart...

Well I've made some progress.

Actually the opposite of what you suggested

Since the dash speakers are a lot closer to the head unit, I tried to fish this grabber thingy enough to catch the speaker wire coming from the dash.

I routed the right side and hooked it up and it sounded better than having 4 speakers on one channel (still had the door hooked up but I was only testing it at this point)

I am also thinking of exchanging the 10awg for 12awg as it fits in the posi-locks and 10awg is overkill for this. Plus it's cheaper.

Should I run this kicker stuff all the way to the amp, or would the cheaper wiring that came with my amp kit work?

Also, that little grabber thingy is a lifesaver...

ha nice wire gotta love kicker hyperflex if i were in your shoes (which i am) i would leave the dash speakers on stock wiring and just run new wires to the door speakers, just make sure when you unhook the factory wires from the door speakers you cover them so they dont short out as they will still be hot. and tuck them away so they dont get caught/pinched

imo, i would run new wires i did that when i upgraded from a factory head unit, what is the factory wire gauge 18? pretty small i ran 12-14 i don't remember, and just left the old wires in the dash since there taped to the main wiring harnes that powers everything on the car dash=to much trouble.

Should I?

I am pretty open to suggestions at this point.

One thing is certain: I need to get the dash speakers independent from the door speakers.

I do not know what I'm going to do in the end.

I just know I can't have the dash and door speakers bridged or however they are now.

I had thought about just un-hooking the front door speakers, but then there would be a ton of wire that did nothing still connected to the dash speakers.

And that would also require me to do this all over again if I ever wanted to hook the front door speakers up.

So I would say I'm probably going to run new wires for the front door and dash, since the rear doors are already ran independently to the head unit

How do I run speaker wire to each speaker? Need help taking the dash apart...

I have taken the glove box apart to the point where it seems it is connected to the ENTIRE dash.

I need to run each speaker it's own line because the dash and door are connected to each other.

I am willing to do the work, I know it's not hard and won't take long, but I don't know where to start.

This is as far as I have gone with the glove box.

I thought I would just be able to take the glove box off and find where the wires are connected.

I can access both sets of wires from the speakers in the dash, and find the corresponding wires behind the head unit, but somewhere that I can not reach, the front door speakers are wired into the lines
