Yesterday i ordered a recone with woven in leads and carbon fiber dustcap. And i will ship out the frame and motor,to the man of AA/FI here in the Netherlands.

I traded the woofer with a small rattle coming from the inside,so i knew it was going to break. Butt i did'nt know how soon,butt turned out to be very soon(within 20 min. of installing.)

It also looks like it took a hell of a lot of abuse(a buddy of my tested an couple of Chaos 12's by wall socket 230 volts and a 16 A circuitbreaker and on 0,7 Ohm the coils where still intact and fresh). My Chaos looks like this

About 1 week i came across a trade deal i could not refuse

. I traded my old Yamaha amplifier(about 20 years old)and speakers for this sweet little sub. It is the bigger brother of the 1 i had.

So i will have to myself a new box. Also already sold the 12 Inch,for a good price. I will keep you all updated.

It is alive and kicking, but still not full tilt maybe less than a half inch excursion one way. I still have to set the gain on the amp.

A couple of weeks ago i purchased a second hand Limited edition(nr 19 of 50) amp,and so far i am very happy with it.

The shoe is for size(9,5) comparison.
Tech.Specs from factory @ 13.8 volts;
1 x 580 watt @ 4Ohm
1 x 1140 Watt @ 2 Ohm
1 x 2000 Watt @ 1 Ohm

Test report specs @ 13.1 volts ;
610 Watt @ 4 Ohm
1210 Watt @ 2 Ohm
2160 Watt @ 1 Ohm

S/N Ratio 75dB
input sens. 210mV - 8V
damping factor @ 100Hz/70Hz is 406/489 an at 50Hz/30Hz is it 456/623.

To bad i don't have the money for a good quality amp at the moment. Would be curious what it will do with 1500 to 2000 rms(i know the chaos can handle it).

Ok last weekend i did my first dB contest, with the Chaos and some crappy cheap Fusion 1100 RMS@1Ohm amp.

My car peaked at 44Hz. And i was playing some number of the DB Jams cd(i believe it was number 6 on volume 14).

To bad my amp while driving in the city went in protect on volume 30 something last week.
Tested the amp without the sub and it stays in protect,so i might send it of to be repaired
depending on the cost. Or i will buy an other amp,but that will take a while.

The port is tuned for very fast bass(dutch hardcore and frenchcore),and the enclosure is 1.417 inch thick.

Thursday i got a message that the Ascendant Audio Chaos was in the house,so i went to him yesterday but the enclosure was not ready yet. So today i went back,and i had to wait for about 1 hour and the enclosure was ready. The Chaos went in, and then it was installed in the trunk. And it looks like this wright now.

I have to do some play inn time than finish it with a frontplate and a top plate.

On there they mention 2012, hopefully they are still good, they look like a very promising company. I don't mind where stuff is made as long as it is good quality. The only things I have audiowise that aren't made in Asia are an old Rockford Fosgate cap I wanted for the vintage and a late 70's/early 80's Acoustic Research 40/80 GSC.

To bad the site is not up to date(2010), i believe they went bankrupt because there was some one steeling money from the company. BTW the amps that are available are all Korean made.
