New they are 789$ shipped. They are the same board as the sundown 3500 v1. Hence why they hold their value so well.

It's honestly brutal man. If you are ever in colorado hit me up.

Re: Just Another Loud Tahoe.

Got another video

3 HDDs Tahoe Flex, Breaking Ice and Bag Trick - YouTube

Most recent score is 151.9 legal at 36hz. Will have that number up to a 54 hopefully before the Db drag show coming up. Will have updates mid next week. Then I will be working on my outlaw score after that for a different show.

Might get a local girl at ace hardware to help me with a hairtrick. lol. we'll see how that goes.

Sadly no. It kind of took a backseat. still got some final touches on it before it goes in.

Do have more updates though.

Two videos I made:

HDDs on 2 Ampere 3800.1s - YouTube

HDDs demo Love Sosa with Shirt Trick - YouTube

Definitely watch the second video to see how much air this thing is moving from the cargo area.

Up to a 153.5 at 45hz just messing around. still got a lot higher to go.

Might have a door open hairtrick video soon.

Re: Just Another Loud Tahoe.

I will definitely hit you up when I figure everything out, my current source plans are running the Ipod Touch through a PPI E.DZ via a Ipod connector-RCA cable and using the PPI as a preamp and signal splitter for the amps. When I go to the tablet I am going to get one 7" or smaller and am probably just going to use a regular 3.5-RCA unless I can figure out how to run it usb to RCA, then keep a 3.5-RCA as a backup on the secondary input for the PPI.

Re: Just Another Loud Tahoe.

Oh and here are some comments so far:

"meter lies... I've owned and built many 150+ builds... lol holy crap that thing is intense!"

" Dude I have been in James Pantazes van doing 160s I know loud and you **** is loud!"

I most likely meter so low because of my chosen port/sub config but it's the price I pay for fitting 3 18s in a tahoe stock legal lol.

And I have never had a vehicle hurt my ears like this before. I effing love it. 5 minutes of driving and I get the feeling like when you are driving cross country and you can't get your ears to pop.

Might build a different box for 2 18s for competing but so far for daily on quarter power this thing is a beast.

Re: Just Another Loud Tahoe.

Got my subs in.

Here's a groupshot:

You probably just said... is... that... is that a giant wooden aeroport.. why yes.. yes it lol.

That port is 15".. and it's my daily port :hello:

Here is the outside of the box:

It's designed to maximize all available space in my tahoe while staying legal for usaci. Here is the bracing:

Not many pieces.. but I chose the design careful and it is retarded strong.

Here is the top baffle:

Dowels for added support to contain all that motor force. And yes it is subs up port up... Trying to be different and I needed all the space I could get.

Box shot with the first baffle on.

Then glue and finally a pic of the glue curing.. put a space heater in the process since my garage is somewhat cold.

Get ready for a video tomorrow. And possibly numbers soon. Granted they could be quite low.. but it's a starting point.

First Time Playing With The HDDs - YouTube

Numbers are in.... Not exactly the numbers I was expecting. But then again I have never metered a tahoe before. Keep in mind this is with a DAILY port, low power and absolutely zero in vehicle testing (moving seats etc..). Did a 148.14 Outlaw at 45hz and a 145.77 legal at 35hz. Only tested like 10 times because I wasn't in a safe spot to be doing it. Here's the crazy thing. This config has an amazing response. As well as doing 45.77 at 35hz sealed I did a 45.28 at 47hz, 45.02 at 30hz, 40.6 at 25hz and 33.97 at 20hz. I was a little upset with my numbers until I saw what I was doing at 30hz lol. Just need to alter my port

************************

Will have updated numbers in a couple days. Will be low-mid 50s.

Re: Just Another Loud Tahoe.

3 tantric HDD 18s were bought. Just waiting on Murphy to finish em up. Gotta start repping my new team (fast forward they are in)

Tantric 4.1 might be in the near future. Oh and I bought a used 300 amp ohio gen. Should be awesome.

So as to current progress. I rooted my nexus 7 and flashed a custom rom for my tahoe.

It really is the ultimate headunit. Navigation, Spotify, Pandora, Poweramp, Skype, Torque... the possibilities are endless.

Here is the dash piece to start:

Used cardboard for a stiff flat piece. Blue tape on the back of it so the resin doesn't stick.

fiberglass cloth down:

Only got 1 image of after resin'ing with a little trimming:

Added some bondo filler to the top gap and bottom. Adds strength and necessary for how big this screen is:

And here is test fitting the tablet. All I can say is DAAAMMMNN its a tight fit. I got about a 1/16th gap of play. For anyone trying to undertake this. It will work but it won't be terribly easy.

Here is the layout for the rest of it:

Top left is push to start from my advanced keys system.
Below that is pac-lc1 for bass level control
Below that is 4 toggles for Nexus, Dsp, zapco and AB (soon to be tantric) power.
Then below the Tablet on the left is the Minidsp VOL-FP

The left pot is adjustable and a push button. So I can change Volume, source and presets.

Only going to have one input source which is digital input from the nexus 7. Presets will most likely be Non eq'd, Eq'd and flat.

Then bottom right is a voltage meter.

Just Another Loud Tahoe.

I tried to make this as congruent as possible but I just copy pasted multiple posts from my caco log. So if something doesn't make sense that's why lol.

Should have made one over here too but I was being lame.

*************************************

So some of you might know I owned a pt (with transformers stickers :rofl. Welp. It decided to not let me know it was low on oil, more specifically empty. Started knocking and wasn't worth fixing. And so the pt is gone for good now.

Picked up this baby for $2300. 130k miles and transfer case leaked. One new tailshaft seal and a fluid change later she is good as new. Here it is:

This is going to be a slow build log so be ready for a snails pace.

Went out today and replaced the starting battery with an old bt100. Fits like a glove.

yeah the pic quality isn't the greatest.

Modified my battery bracket. And starting resin'ing. Can't decide whether I leave it that color or paint it black to match everything else.

Here are pics:

the resin really makes the different layers pop.

Cut into the firewall to get my wire through.

That's 2 runs of 3/0 and 2 runs of 4/0 ofc. Might as well do it right the first time lol.

Here's pics. Still deciding on how I am going to route the wires under the hood. and possibly need to hit up TM for some blocks. (Did make a 235$ order will have parts soon)
