Depends.

Some of the Best Home Audio subs are sealed (Velodyne DDs) and some of the best budget Home Audio subs are ported (SVS).

As long as its done right, it should make no difference. But, Ported subs will go low for less $.

Better placement options that will yeild more output as well as a flatter inroom response.

Whats wrong with sealed subwoofers?

Sheep Have you seen the kits on Parts Express? Just build a box similar to the ones in the kits and use those.

BTW, build 2 separate subs.

Designing a box for 2 12" titanics

i'm about to start building a home audio box for 2 12" dayton titanics MKIII....i can build anything, but can't design one worth a sh*t...i know how to figured out the displacement and how long the port needs to be, but as far as making it sound good, not too good...

so i need somebody to tell me what to go with here? needs to be built for music and movies, i was thinking in the tuned to 25 htz range, and don't really have an idea on cubic footage...thats where I need help...not good at finding a flat response...i couldn't even find a recommended enclouse size on those daytons...
