two sidewinders/2 typeRs in a ported box should be a good setup. If your talking about 250 for both, then typeRs are your choice. And about the hype, Rs are only popular on the forums. I haven't seen a person run Rs yet (besides me) in Chicago.

no doubt, i'm not big on alpine.. they're nice subs but too commercial, everyone wants to brag on them like they're soo amazing haha. but i admit, they DO sound nice. that was tha first sub i had EVER heard of, was Alpine. but i think i'm going to go with one 12 that will take about 1600 watts. any suggestions?

Alpine Type Rs are the way to go. I know a guy who put his single 10" in his tire well and it sounded awsome. I thought he had at least a couple of 12s, but he open up his trunk and there was sitting a single 10" alpine type R. That 10" sub actually shook the parking lot asphault.

Sidewinder is 199 MSRP I believe for a 12. If you want 2 subs. I say just get two type R's then. I don't like all the hype, but if you want 2 12's, thats probably the way to go...

You could also look at FI Audio. The X series is 119$ per 12.

15 soundstream t4 from here http://sonicelectronix.com/item_4241.html and blits does make some fairly wierd ampifers... i think there the only company ive seen that makes 1.3 ohm stable ampifers

OKay, i got about 150-250 dollars. i also have a 1600 watt blitz audio amp. not tha greatest but it works.. what would tha best 12" subs for my money?

not for me, but for my girlfriend in a 2002 cavalier.
