LOL. Always knew the BTLs could eat power, 30 hz on 10k though.. that's nutty.

Yes sir. The coil actually can't bottom out at all, it just physically cannot reach the backplate.

Re: Day 1 Test Results (Video Release :))

um, is it just me or does that coil look pretty damn toasty? just because it's not falling apart doesn't mean it aint burnt up... but after what it's been through, it could be a lot worse...

doesnt have anything to do with the soft parts, they can take it fine

It's the basket that the soft parts run into that causes it to break...

Larger diameter spiders are terrible for deflection, the only thing it really needs is a different basket that will allow it to move without hitting the spider landing.

Re: Day 1 Test Results (Video Release :))

Cut the soft parts out of the BTL we used at the 12 challenge yesterday...Figured i'd post a pic of what the coil looked like after the 10kw run. Keep in mind this is with every option except the flat wound aluminum coil.

Thanks for lookin!

im buying that sub and putting 2kw to it at least in a daily
Wow, smh. Obviously 2k watts daily is fine because....that's the rated RMS of a Regular BTL.

Anyways, I thought this was quite pleasing to see;

Mass Destruction Sidewinder

Sonically, very similar to the Orion XTR 3 - a sloppy, one or two-noted speaker that's better suited for street beating than SQ reference material. This was the second time I had heard the MD Sidewinder, and I wasn't impressed for musicality.
