Re: Hifonics Bxi 2006D Amp

Just recieved mine last week and I give it 10 of 10. 10 for price and 10 for apearance. Reliability, I will find out. It does the job.

Re: Hifonics Bxi 2006D Amp

In this instance though, it's a nice thread, considering these amps are going for 250 or less on ebay shipped from reputable companies like sonixelectronics or whatever. I thought about getting this amp too.

Re: Hifonics Bxi 2006D Amp

No. It does rated power at 1 ohm. I have one in my car right now and have benched it.
It does it at 14.4V, which is hard to keep up.
But it absolutely does rated if your voltage doesn't drop.

At 12V however...it likely doesn't do rated.

I wouldn't run it at .5 ohms, agreed it's risky.

Re: Hifonics Bxi 2006D Amp

2006 it's not exactly 2000 W.I believe it gives that power but only at 0,5 ohm and that's risky.

Re: Hifonics Bxi 2006D Amp

I just bought the BXi2010D, although its a good amp for the money I doubt its putting its rated power out. I have it running 2 Type R 1022D's @ 2 ohms and I don't think im getting 1300 watts rms. But for the price its a great amp, so your 2006 is a good amp for the $$

sonic purity I had a bxi1606 and a Thor XXV, both great amps, never got hot and pounded the heck out of my RE's. I replaced the bxi1606 with an RD Audio 1750.1 thinkin it would put the hifonics to shame, but the only thing different is the sound is a little cleaner.

Beatdown337 Still have one of those amps and my brother is currently using it to push 4 w3's in a truck. Good amp very reliable.

Fallen I had one and loved it as well...damn this is an old thread.

eg0r i got 2006 and best thing i like about is SIZE!
smallest 2000W amp I can think of
It has been very reliable to me so far
and definatly a good price

I dont like the knobs. they look cheaply made on my amp but works just fine

Cavana i have the 2006D, and it's a beauty. Don't have the electrical to push it quite yet, but i will soon, and this amp will do me well i'm sure.

I bet the 34" or 36" (i forget which size it was) would hit some lows.....them ****er$ are huge.....

lol that's more than likely because the audiobahn's are hopelessly over rated and the memphis must be under rated. Or maybe the amp just wasn't outputting as it should've. A bit confusing really...

btw any more detailed reviews on the brutus? make a vid when u've got it installed pls =]

Re: Hifonics Bxi 2006D Amp

I had that speaker and it hit the lows awesome and stayed loud, and it did all of this in a prefab box. I was surprised with the performance of the speaker, being on how cheap it is. I am thinking about buying another one just to mess around with for a cheap setup for my g/f's car, or I might get a 15 for my car (not as a everyday setup, just for fun type of setup to see what I can hit with that speaker in a good box.)

Re: Hifonics Bxi 2006D Amp

Those 12's should be fine, i had one and I pushed mine a 1ohm with my 1206 and was fine, and I let my friend borrow that sub and he pushed it with his 2006D for about a month at 1ohm 2000 watts (not real world watts, prob about 1800) and the sub didnt blow, i was actually surprised that it took all that abuse. Great subs, and they pound pretty good as well for the price.
