it may be seeing the quotations as code… when html code is turned off it can get extremely picky…
btw... keeping html coding off, is a good thing… strictly from security standpoint…

amen cap'n... I think the border limits are great but the size limits are a little harsh.. I tried uploading a new avatar and no matter how small I made it, it was still over 18kb's so I couldn't use it unless it was microscopic.. It was because it had intense graphics lol.. Yeah.. the file size should be raised or lifted but the border controls are fine where they are shon.

termpro guys have massive sigs and you cant really tell where sig text ends and post text begins
its also easier to load pages without massive sigs

Re: Signature Pictures, need help Shon
shon a 100 bytes is a little small especaly if this is a site that thrives on up loading things. I would look at outher large forms and see what size pics they alow to up load. A forum sig is a way for the user to comunicate ones identy to outher users. and right now i think 100 bytes and 10 lines is a lil small.

that may be because when he made you system of the month moderator he might have created a whole new group for you and didnt adjust the settings for signature requirements and it might be on default and off hand I forget the default setting for vbulletin… or it can be that the moderator group has different settings than standard members and yes just like before with the guidelines… I dont quite remember if the signature parsing (size limitations and such) goes throughout all members or just groups…

Re: Signature Pictures, need help Shon
That doesn't explain why Corey could post my sig pic in his, but I couldn't. I even went as far to think I may be retarded, so Corey logged onto my account and tried, and had the same problem.
I understand the rules, but if he can post it on his account, then shouldn't I? I even tried putting Corey's sig pic in my account and couldn't, gave me the same error.

Re: Signature Pictures, need help Shon
i'm sorry about the sig rules, but they were implied because a large amount of people did not want to follow the sig rules that have been posted. i want to keep the sig relatively small because it prevents clutter to the forum. prior to the automatic restrictions, i would have to personally pm/contact individuals with sig that were beyond the guidelines to correct their sig. now, with the automatic limitations, this process is not necessary. it's one less thing the administration has to check.
if you host your sig off the roe server, it has to be less than 100KB.

Re: Signature Pictures, need help Shon
well, when I try to post it, it says it's a 100 bite file size limit, which is impossible with a picture.

Re: Signature Pictures, need help Shon
is tha file size within tha limits.. not pixel x pixel.. but tha size.. (xxKB)
if not, i can make it work for you when i go home Rich.. i'm at school FTL.
BUT i do believe we need a little more SIG freedom.

Re: Signature Pictures, need help Shon
OK, I let Corey log on my account, and try it, and it wouldn't work, so obviously there's something goofy going on with at least mine and mojo626's accounts.
Either that, or Shon doesn't like us....
