Audiobahnaholic Looking at your battery terminal you could just run 1/0 back to the 1/0 amp and 4 gauge back to the 4ga amp. It may take more time and wire but it's easier to figure out than the dirto blocks.

BIG MIKE I think I got it. Thanks bro.

Record Holder313 Okay this is what you do....Get Distribution Block # 1...Hook it up to the Positive Top-Post on your battery...Now run a 1/0 power wire from each 1/0 ga input on the distribution block....Now you should have a distribution block that is made for fuses, if not....you should go buy one for ANL fuses...One side has a hook and the other is just straight...the fuse is like 8.00 and the block is like 15-20.00....Then once you have those 2 connected to the power wire from the battery...Then you get 2 more 1/0 power wires and run them through the car/truck/suv and into the amp's....1 amp gets 1 wire...Once that is done...Drill 2 seperate ground holes...not 2 big tho...if you don't already have 2 and hook you 1/0 ga ground wire up to those...Now for RCA's...your headunit should have a place to put RCA subwoofer input's and then it should have another input or preamp input...and thats where the other one goes...Now for Remote wire...Connect the remote wire from both amp's and run it through the car/truck/suv....I always hook it up to a fuse instead of the CD player remote wire....you can do either/or...But the fuse you hook it up to would be the (radio/stereo) fuse. As for speaker wire you wire your sub's to however many ohms is recommended and wire them seperately and connect to the amp's. I recommend MONO-block amp's...bass boost is not needed....and that should do the job....make sure you upgrade down the line to an Optima Yellow Top/High-output Alternator/Big 3...and thats all you need buddy...good luck

BIG MIKE Here are some detail pics. Maybe you guys can help me out better with these.

If you're saying that the cap is useless, would it hurt to still use it anyway??
It's a 1 farad, but you guys are saying it's a piece of sh*t. So i'll feel stupid if I bought and i have it just laying around.

Here's the pics:

Record Holder313 I just saw your message wanting to know how to wire that kit up. First you have to get the distribution block that has two 1/0 ga inputs and put that on the Positive top-post side on the battery...then you run two 1/0 ga power wires from each and connect them into 2 more distribution blocks that have the ANL fuses....from there...You connect 2 more 1/0 ga power wires and run them to the back of your car/truck/suv and connect them to the amplifier. I wouldn't recommend hooking up the cap because that cap doesn't look very helpful..just stressful...anyways...now after the power wire is connected then find 2 good ground spots and connect the ground wires to them and run them to the amp's...If your amp's are strappable then I'd run the parallel to each other and if they are then the first few steps that I just explained would be totally different..but before I type anymore are those amp's strappable??

BIG MIKE What is the diameter size on a 1/0GA wire?

I'm not to worried about the wire. I am more concerned with

wiring everything right.

bookechu How much was the kit with the cap?
01-18-2006 04:37 AM
meatloaf1986 dude sorry to tell you but i bought the same kit with out the cap for 35.00shipped. and IT IS NOT 1/0 GUAGE it is 2 GUAGE. just felt like i would tell you.
01-17-2006 09:48 PM
bookechu You'll only need one distribution block. Don't bother using the capacitor, they are worthless and besides if one of your amps requires that you use 1/0 wire that cap looks to be to weak to do anything anyway. Use whatever dist block has 1/0 input to 4 or 8 output. hope this helps

BIG MIKE Ok. How about just explaining whether i can power two amps with one

cap, if i can, should I? Plus how do i wire the cap to everthing (one amp recommends 1/0 GA wire)?

Battery>-1/0GA-<ANL200AFuse>--1/0GA--<1F Cap> [this is where i don't know, power to (+) right? and (-) to DB or car chassis??]

And if to Distribution Block, which one?? Do I need to use both??
01-17-2006 09:11 PM
bigtrevdogg u know how long that would take

AMP KIT WIRING

Can anybody explain to me how to wire this amp kit??

I want to run two amps, one is asking for 1/0 GA and the other

i don't know (probably like a 4GA or 8GA). I've installed amps before

but never with a cap or distribution blocks.

Here's a list of the things it came with:
• 1 Farad Capacitor
• 20 Volt
• Red Digital Voltmeter
• 17 ft. 1/0GA Clear Blue Power Cable With 3/8 Ring Terminal
• 3 ft. 1/0GA Clear Silver Ground Cable With #10 Ring Terminal
• 12 ft. 4GA Clear Blue Power Cable
• 10 ft. 4GA Clear Silver Power Cable
• 17 ft. 18GA Remote Turn-On Wire
• ANL Fuse Holder + 200 Amp Fuse
• Two Position ANL Distribution Block With “Two” 100 Amp Fuses
• Battery Terminal
• Pos/Neg Power Distribution Block
• 2HD Ring Terminals
• 4 4GA Ring Terminals (2 Red/2 Black)
• 4 4GA Spade Terminals (2 Red/2 Black)
• 2 18-22GA Butt Connectors
• 10 Self-Tapping Screws
• 10 6” Cable Ties
• 4GA Grommet
