Im going to throw in my 2 cents; the age factor shouldnt be a factor, AS LONG AS, there is knowledgeable experience with competition systems, but yes i'll agree with the audio buffs, MOST 16 year olds don't have the knowledge to run a system like this, get you some strong batts, XS, Kinetik, ETC, enough to support yuor system, get you a H/O alt from a company of your choice (DC,MECHMAN ETC), get an EXPERIENCED box builder & let him have at it with your box. Get a sufficeint amp whatever your wanting to thrwo at it, and something that wont kill it or underpower it.

I few years back I had a 15" BTL And was running 4500 rms daily for about a year untill I sold it. Great SUB!!!!!!!

lmfao you guys crack me up! but dont hate on our young guns the earlier you start the more you can learn but i agree with the above statement start small and work your way up most likely you could do 2 12's and be louder than 8556786686 18's and 786746 amps because 2 12's and a single amp is hard to screw up spend your time on this forum doing your research you will be happy in the long run

daily, 3-4k will be fine, as long as its @ 1 ohm and above..and clean.

As usual, you have to be careful overpowering any sub that much.

No offence, as I know its not my place to tell, but would like to air my view.

For a first system, I wouldn't go all out.

My first system was an active sub package, from then i learnt more about audio and got a small mono block, 1x12 and an enclosure, then i progressed and got the 4 10s. You cant jump into the deep end of the pool before you learn to swim.

First off, the BTL is a competition subwoofer. Sure you can get the "daily" option but it is what it is. Second, do you even have enough CLEAN power to run one? Let alon the space and enclosure designing ability?

you could probably give it 2500-3000 watts daily with little worries, subwoofers are not as complicated as you think they are...do some research on the basics and eventually everything should fall into place.

well on the Fi website in says that if i was to add the chamber and all the other goodies it was add more power but it didnt say how much it will have after that.

If u were to i would be careful with the gains and with the volume knob...also if ur running ported i wouldnt go anything over 6ft3....
