Bob3655	hmm decisions haha. gotta choose an amp before i order my sub to pick if im gonna get dual 2 or 4 ohm. was looking at MA AUDIO HK1998 HARD KORE 1200 Watt is hella cheap but i was wondering what theyre rated at. do you guys know what a hifonics bx1505 would put out. would it be enough for a single type r 15".

TechSys	Bob Pirillo runs MA, 18 HF 4000D amps from what the stats page says. Of course he also has quite a few batteries and is running 16volt.

ROE	the hk series shines when applied on a 16V eletrical. on a 12v system, you won't get as good results.

Bob3655	i would go with hifonics but i heard from several people that they are overrated by a few hundred watts. steel told me that it took two hifonics amps to equal one of his rockfords of the same wattage. hmm im looking at both now on ebay. any opinions?

unknownuser200	ive never used ma audio personally but i have a friend that uses the HK802SX and it seems to hold to what it says ,but i would still look intil hifonics ,because there most likely cheaper and will still put out

Bob3655	MA Audio Overrated? ive been looking for some cheap amps to push between 1000-1300 wrms a piece each to power a 15" type r. i was looking into MA Audio amps and they looked fairly cheap for what theyre rated at. i was wondering if any of you have any experience with them. thanks guys
