I ended up selling the carpetted folded horn to RE_XXX and it's doing great with his RD HW 15 in his Durango. I blew the sub (something was wrong with it in the first place) and reconed it. Rebuilt the horn, Line-X'd it, and now it's in my car again. I ended up sending 3000watts to one of the coils, so it's at a 3ohm load to my SAZ-3000D. It's seeing roughly 800-1000watts.

honestly? as most of you know i had a pair of them.. they are quite loud, BUT that stupid srround is so damn inefficient. bigest drawback on em, from my testing.

dint know you paid. i dont check often. they are easy to solder bro (stick wire through, and throw some good solder on

Oh well!

I'm done. Well, minus carpet. Yeah, I decided carpet since it's cheap and the sub isn't exactly mine.

Yet...

It's tightskies with the magnet!!!

Mmmmm...

And with some carpet I have just laid over it.

I can't wait until I get the terminals in and get it carpeted. Then again, I'll have to build another false floor so this box will fit in my car. Then I have to clean my garage again.

Alright. Since I have RE_XXX's Soundstream XXX, I decided to build an enclosure for it. I enlisted Pete, again. No reason not to. I've always enjoyed the build and the output!

The design:

I had to run to Harbor Freight for some digital calipers and to Lowe's for paint and acrylic for a makeshift Jasper jig. I think they overcharged me for the Lexan... It came out to like $30 for a piece that's 1/16" thick and 8"X10"... I'm taking it back tomorrow.

Should have the whole thing done tomorrow. I'm just waiting on basket terminals for the sub and then getting the box Line-X'd.
