Cap'n'Crunch	you could just have the starter rebuilt a friend of my dad's is an auto-part and electrical repair man he charged my dad $20 to rebuild the starter for my ranger and he garentees his work for 150k miles im not sure if you have any one like that, but if you do, i'd give them a call

Accordman	yea mines starting to make noises when i startit, i got the noise to go away before by wd40ing it but its back and getting worse so i wanna get it taken care of.

bangin_explorer	cost of the starter + $25 is what i paid... cant remember the whole total.. was a family mechanic tho....... they are a bitch to get to lol...

Accordman	97 Explorer Starter Has anyone done a starter in an Explorer? i went under it andlooked at it and it seems that everythign is a pain in the ass to get to thanks to the a arm being in the way of every bolt, anyone changed one of these or know how much im looking at to get one installed for me? I'm not lookin for exact numbers just a ballpark of what i should be looking at paying.
