tymoto21 i was just looking at the calender... and it seems it is only birthdays on it... mabey i just didnt see the other stuff but i was thinking it would be awsome to post the dates and times to competitions and were they would be located. I would really like to go to a comp ( as ive never been to one) but I cant find one close to me. Just an idea.

and reading back i think fallen would be a good mod for the box page thingy... he put up alot of general boxes already and in time i think there could be a sub specific page for most of the subs out there. kind of like the vid section.

fosg8freak I have mine set to display 30 posts per page.... that cuts down the pages i have to load by a third... good enough for me

Not quite. I mean so when your viewing a thread, you can load all pages at once. like for instance. a 5 page thread. You can load all pages so you can scroll through and not have to click page 2, 3, 4 , 4 etc.

yea, i realize that SOME of those things mentioned are already stickies BUT some of them are written in a manner that would require some kind of electrical knowledge or previous work in car audio in the past.

I am suggesting that we make sections that are completely dumbed down for complete and total noobs. Dumb it down to the point that they by reading these stickies they will ask questions that aren't so stoopid.

fosg8freak Youve got to think about all of the people that are doing their selling/buying/trading through PM's though. Its pretty imperative to have your PM's when you dont know how to contact the guy any other way...

Also, if you guys remember gebrochen, he donated a sum of money and got that "eternal newb" thing in place of the little subwoofer ratings thing. Maybe if you donate XXX amount of money, he will still customize that for you.

Just a thought.

shotokan_teen I don't know if anyone else has said these yet but:

1) We need an area of "How-To's" Some noobs (like myself) actually have no idea how to set gains (properly), find vehicle frequency, tune different types of boxes, ect.

2) More "How-To's" with installs of specific equipment such as head-units, mounting subs properly, wiring amps, how to read ohms, ect.

3) Most people (again, like myself) don't know what all these different boxes are, how they are different, or what they are best suited for. We should have a section about box types, sub types (SQ, SQL, SPL and makes them that way), how to choose components, ect.

Shon you should have a donation page and donating members get a little star or something in their name...or like a premium member designation.

almond ditto, i say we have donation type rungs. $10 gets you sticker, $30 gets you a t-shirt, $75 get's you a sweater. plus maybe an added feature, like more pm's in your inbox and a "donating member" under the s/n.

i know thats the princibal of "donating" but if there was a banner.. sticker ... patch.. or even a tag on the side of there avatar saying "donating member" or something...

people would be more inclined to give ya 5 bucks for a upgrade...


i dont see 5 bucks being a bad # to throw out....

id do it. if i knew it was going to help.... and be used for this purpus.
