why? if he can afford some cvx's why not get them? they would keep up with q's easy and destroy ssd's in a good box so why spend an ass load on shipping if he can get the same performace for less money?

98NeonRT Look up some RE SXs on ebay and see if you can find anyone to ship to venezuela. Ask Fi if they might...

dustin420 if you have to stay with kicker get some cvx's im not a big fan of any square sub or kicker subs but the cvx is IMHO the best sub kicker makes.

spencerkrew69 lol wow neon, i didnt put it has harsh as u stated and thanks man. lol i dont know what to say to that haha, i get bashed then get a compliment lol well then back to the topic. No i have had alot of experience with them, but maybe i have just had luck with them sounding clean i have 2 L7 15's each on a kx 1200.1 at 1 ohm and they sound fine to me, i have compared them to a buddy of mine and he has 4 matts p3 12's and they sound just as clean.. hmm maybe i need to hear some high quality sq subs.

yo, neon hit it on the head.........l7's sound like ass............end of story. I've heard so many setups with them in all types of enclosures and applications and i own one and i've never heard them sound even decent. They get very loud, which is what theyre meant for, but they have no SQ capabilities. I have no system in my car right now because i'm in the process of finishing small purchases for my tc3000 and i have that l7 15 sitting in my room collecting dust while i could be bumping until i get my new **** put in. It just sounds so bad i'm sick of riding with some dirty-ass distorted bass.

98NeonRT Btw, spence. I was just in the Girl pics thread. Yours is a cutie. Nice work, bro.
06-01-2008 07:42 PM
98NeonRT yeah. I totally have no idea what I'm talking about.

CLEARLY, you're much more knowlegable than I am, sir.

I personally think L7 sound like ass. Actually, I think all square subs sound like ass. As far as SQ goes, not spl. Ask anyone on here who knows anything, and 95% of them will say that square kickers sound like ass. Don't be a dick. I'm sorry you don't agree with something I say, but that certainly doesn't mean I'm a ****ing moron.

Maybe I just have more experience with better subs than you do? Therefore I have something better to compare them to? Hmm...

eliterox Well im from venezuela, and the "top of the line" stuff here is just Kicker or RF.. u can't really find anything else good in here ..

What do u mean by getting different subs alltogether bro?
06-01-2008 06:28 PM
98NeonRT What country? I'm not a fan of square kickers (they sound like ass) but they get pretty loud. I honestly believe you'd be wasting your money going from 1 L7 to 4 Comps. Just get one more L7 then keep buying more as you can afford them.

What I personally would do is get different subs altogether, but not kicker. But if you think one L7 is a lot of money, then clearly this isn't much of an option. Just stick with L7s.
06-01-2008 06:20 PM
spencerkrew69 go l7s man u will deff be happier saving the money and going that way.
06-01-2008 06:06 PM
eliterox Oh i see , but how loud would 4 10" comps would get? I'd buy a 2nd 10" l7 but thats some money here .. maybe i can save up for that , but atm i can afford those 4 10"
06-01-2008 08:39 AM
mjf595 id just get 2 cvrs, better for the money.

more does not always= better
06-01-2008 08:30 AM
dustin420 meh comps are low budget and are really not that good. i have 2 12's that i've been trying to sell and can't give those damnn things away. in my old jeep i had 2 12's ported off a kx200.2 it got decently loud i thought. then i put my one 15 atlas in sealed box off the same amp and it got louder and sound way better. overall i'd stay with the L7 you might gain a little on spl just ebcause of the surface area but it won't be much so imho the comps would be a waste of money.
06-01-2008 08:19 AM
tater Mines on a zx200.2 daily driver and it takes it. I set my gains with a DMM last night and i sat in the car with it going full tilt for about half an hour. didnt smell anything resembling coils burning. and they are 150 rms @ 4 ohm.
06-01-2008 08:15 AM
eliterox Well i've got an amp which puts out about 650rms , and well my trunk on my sedan is pretty big so i can get a proper box running for those subs , 10" comps are 150rms and well i think the power is enough to run 4 of them.

Do they blow out easy or something? Because i don't want to downgrade from my l7 to get pains in the ***
06-01-2008 08:11 AM
tater I own a single kicker comp 12" and i love mine. Been hooked to a 239w rms amp for about 7 months now. Havent had any problems out of it. I got mine in a 2.25 cubic ft vented enclosure tuned to 49hz (accidently).

Depending on how much power you are planning to give the comp's and how much space you can give them. It may not be a bad idea. What kind of amp and how big of a box are you planning to use?

Need a review =]

Hey i'm thinking of competing here in my country in the entry level side. I currently have a 10" l7 and well i was thinking about switching to 4 10" kicker COMP (not VR) . How good would that be in a well built vent enclosure? Is it worth the money?

Btw , what do you guys think about those SVC subs?
