Aight, well......I ended up putting the knob in the holder behind the cup holder below the dash. You can see it here in the pictures. It didnt fit in the change holder where I originally wanted to mount it. So, here worked out just fine.
what do you think?

placement of remote knob
Hey, I decided on a place to mount the remote knob to my Elemental Designs Nine.1 Amp......but I dont know how to remove the plastic piece on my dash so that I can drill a whole in the back of it to run the wire through and then mount the knob inside the holder.
I have a 1997 Honda Civic and here is the picture of the center dash (not my picture, but same thing)
The rectangle looking holder on the right of the head unit is where I want to mount the knob. I tried to take it out, but it only pops out a little bit. It seems to be connected to the outer frame that the head unit is in....so, how do I take this little holder piece out without breaking anything?
Here is another picture I found with the head unit out. You can see that there are two screw wholes on the left of the little holder piece....not sure what that is for, but I guess i ganna have to unscrew them in order to take the piece out.
Am I ganna have to take the head unit out in order to take this little holder piece out? If so, then how to I take the head unit out?
