Lil_KB The box is 8 cubes @ 31.44 hz...I'm not really worried about what it meters...just want it to perform good daily. They're gonna be powered with a Kicker 1500.1 since I have to run them @ 2ohm so selection is kinda limited. The birthsheets usually rate them at about 1700-1800ish...so about 400-450 watts to each. I don't want to take a chance of overpowering them, I've blown 2 CVRs before already..

sound=vibration im running 2 cvr tunned to 32 hertz.... in abour 4 cubes... sounds like it is a high 30 low 40s.... so they are nice... should be in the mid 40 range with for .. how much power u gonna give them..??? what u gonna tune them too...?

Lil_KB progress.

yay. box is done, just gotta cut the holes, finish sanding a bit, and figure out how i'm gonna cover it. been thinking about spray can bedliner, something simple and durable. but im open to suggestions...

Lil_KB Thanks guys.

Got the box.

It was a little dirty, been sitting in my cousins shed for about a year now, but still in good shape.

Me, him, and a buddy of mine built it about a year and a half ago for 2 15s, it worked good until he blew them...hah.

Not sure of the specs, i'll measure the airspace later on, i think it was about 8-9 cubes...all i can remember is that we tuned it to like 31ish. Hits lowww.

Theres a good bit of work to be done...new front piece, a lot of unnecessary drilled holes that have to be filled, 1 or 2 air leaks, and I'll probably round over the edges just for looks. The hole in the back was for his extra battery...I won't be using one unless plans change. But overall, it's a solid box, just needs some attention to detail.

Also, sold the crunch today. Looking for a ZX1500.1 because I need to run these at 2ohms, and it should give me just the right amount of power because it's a big ass box, no need to overpower CVRs here.

Some interior shots...it's pretty simple...haven't really decided what i'm gonna do to it yet.

Got the piece off.

Did a little sanding, I'm gonna have to go borrow my grandpas sander to finish it up...hand sanding ftl.

BTW, I figured out the specs on the box. exactly 8 cubes with all displacements, tuned at 31.44 hz with 91 sq. inches of port space.

stratusrt01 Nice Truck.

Nothing wrong with CVR's, especially using 4 of them, I think it's going to be fairly impressive.

Lil_KB 24s, 4" of drop in the rear, I have 2" drop spindles for the front, just haven't had the time to install them yet.

New Project - 4 12" CVRs in an 01 Silverado.

Haven't posted here in a while...figured I'd start something new.

Build Specs:
Truck: 2001 Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab
Subs: 4 12" Kicker CVRs
Box: 8 cubes @ 31.44 hz
Amp: Kicker ZX1500.1
Head Unit: Alpine CDA-9855
Front Stage: Infiniti 6.5s

Back seat is being completely removed.

So far I've got 2 of the CVRs, and the Crunch amp which will only be used until I decide on something that can give these speakers enough power.

I have a box already that was built for 2 15s that has the amount of airspace and has the port specs I need, just have to do a little redesigning to it.

I know, CVRs aren't the best speakers ever...but it's a budget build pretty much just for fun, so don't hate..

Here's the truck.

I'll update with pics as progress comes.
