dbdrag legal, however my setup puts me into Street C, which I wouldn't even be close to be competitive. We are working on a setup for next year to compete in NSPL trunk 601-1500.

IVIike13 im looking to hit like high 140's or low 150's i have up to 3.5ft^3
05-23-2006 03:56 AM
IVIike13 im either thinkin 2 12inch type x's or 2 12inch re audio sx's but whut is louder i am gonna need a new alternator either way

jagblazer01 what about a jl 12w7 and 1000/1 amp

stratusrt01 Your stock alternator is 130amps, much better than my 85 amp alternator. I'm running 1500 watts with an additional battery and don't get voltage drops below 12.2 volts.

Depends on what you call "crazy loud". I have hit 142db in a trunk with a single 12" sub on 1500 watts. For a trunk, and a box tuned to 28hz, I don't think that's too bad.

PDoyle22 12 solo x....twweeellllvvvvveeeeee soollloooo XXXXX

you know you want to

run it with the kicker kx2500.1

ur gonna need an alternator upgrade anyways and some yellow tops
05-15-2006 08:07 PM
bigben210tx with 3 cubes and 2k watts your not gonna ge CRAZY loud
most crazy loud subs need crazy big boxes and like said before theres no such thing as a crazy loud trunk car

007 You guys, these sensitivities are not consistent. They are measured with very low impedances to get high SPL's but that doest make them more sensitive. I'm telling you, you need to measure them at 1 watt and you need to look at BL^2 divided by Re to really get a feel for how efficient the subwoofer is (give the moving mass is not abnormally large and the suspension is overly restrictive)

You'll also find thoes figures are often hidden, and now you know why, lol.

unknownuser200 ok well his stock alt will only put out about 1728max watts and about 1221 rms so at most saying you have the battery power to back it up you can go times that meaning you sugguest something smaller .I personally would say this amp

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=3195 and

2 of these woofers

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=3219

sensitivity 99.9

also 2 opitma yellow top batterys with a knukoncepts wiring kit m would make a killer soundsystem

Thats still not right. They say 2.83 volts which is not 1 watt! That completely depends on the impedance. There is no way a 12" high excursion subwoofer is going to get anything close to even 90dB sensitivity.

Cap'n'Crunch you said crazy loud, you just cant do crazy loud in a trunk 8)
05-15-2006 03:49 AM
IVIike13 i really like the solo x alot but i dont know whut is like the spl in a 3 cuft enclosure and im gonna deff be only pushing about 2000 watts rms to it cause i dont want it to blow on me plus im only gonna use it for daily driving
05-14-2006 02:16 PM
Cap'n'Crunch how bout...dare i say it... a JACKHAMMER
