Re: Alpine 9886 review

for me, it lacks eq. but sounds pretty good. i just add a eq for more tuning and it better.

Alpine 9886 review

I have a decent deck and I have been pretty satisfied with it.

I have no extras hooked up to it just a factory amp and 10 internal speakers, 6 of them are 6.5s.

This deck has some nice features, if I dont want to see the deck I can use the black out function which kills the whole display and the reacts when you hit any button. I have a 320G HDD connected to it, but it sees the files in the order added not in alphabetical order(THIS SUCKS)

I am happy with this deck this is the 4th vehicle I have installed this in, first was the Jeep Wrangler, then the 1990 300E, then the 1990 325i, and now this Benz. This sounds better than my last Alpine. I wish the display would show more than 3 lines of folders at a time.

I have had the sub pre-out hooked up one time and it slammed pretty nice. I give this an 8/10 solely because learning to use it was slightly difficult.
