30 amp fuse is fine 25 may be more suited, just remember the switches should be rated for 20-25 amps continuous, and also, the wiring you use in conjunction with length needs to be considered ...

Re: any electrical gurus out there?

well darn, that thought did go threw my mind about the amperage but i figured the seats used a low amp motor 2.

sorry for the bad advice.

Re: any electrical gurus out there?

Alright, if you got a vote meter ill do some wire testing before you wire it up but im guess en thats how it will work. be sure to let us know how it goes

Re: any electrical gurus out there?

ud run im guessen positive power to the switch, then wire up all the switches wires where they need to go to the positive terminals then ground everything else? on that seat

Re: any electrical gurus out there?

No its a normal black leather power seat, im swapping because I like the looks and the comfort better. It goes forward-backward, up-down, then angles the recline feature is manual. And mirror switch is a great idea, but would i be able to just run one power wire to each seat, or would I have to run more?

Re: any electrical gurus out there?

what exactly are you doing? you took a motorized seat. it goes forwards back, up down and leans back and forwards? each using a seprate motor?

I think a switch for electric mirrors would work great for ya.....I know my blazer has a switch on the dash, it moves the side mirror up down left n right.....theres 4 positions, then u turn it 90 degrees and it does the passenger mirror. I got a 92 s10 tahoe blazer only vehical ive seen with them. Im sure theres others

Re: any electrical gurus out there?

So i would need 6 switches per seat? Im gonna keep an eye out for factory stuff, but the seats are from a previous generation, or it would be plug and play

Re: any electrical gurus out there?

you would either need a 6 way switch or a powered switch board with 6 switches..

any electrical gurus out there?

Im in the process of a seat swap, and after failing to find the proper OEM connectors necessary, i decided I would wire the motor up my self, using switches. Well I need a switch with the ability to change the direction of current, not just a simple on off switch. Does anyone have any input on this or any idea where I could find one? Radioshack and Autozone looked at me crazy when I explained it to them. Also each seat are 6-way power so I would need 6 of these switches.
