if you want really good sq the only thing you would want to recone a lms/lmt sub with is another lms coil. if the utmost sq isnt what you want out of them the motors are still amazing reconed with regular coils kinda like my want to run a 5400 motor in my jeep but i would never try to run a lms coil in it, cant handle any where near enough power for my taste.

Re: tc sounds...
ahhh good to know
so either way both the subs we have are great subs for reconing lol
1 is an LMS the other is an LMT

Re: tc sounds...
Actually, the sw8200 may have an LMS coil. I believe it is the last model that TC made for Eclipse, so the coils might have been around.
Earlier in the thread I thought you were talking about sw8800 which are similar to sw9100 that you were also talking about.

Re: tc sounds...
LMS = Linear motion series aka Audiopulse LMS Ultra
LMT = Linear motion technology, after the Ultra came the smaller subs with the same coil technology
LMS-R = Model of newer TC sub
As I stated before, the LMS coil is VERY specific and was designed AFTER TC/AP stopped making subs for Eclipse/Fujitsu Ten

Re: tc sounds...
tc9 with LMS has been around since at least 2006...i have found a ton of references to that fact with posts dating that far back... part of the links i posted are all from 2007 up...
this is a quote from 1 of the posts...
For sealed use an LMS motor, like Sounds LMS-R, Eclipse SW8210/SW8010/SW8200/SW8000 10's & 12's, Sound Splinter RL-S 12 & 15, etc..
now I did say I THINK it is a TC3.. I was wrong it is a TC9 LMS...the newer model i have is an LMT...w/e the hell lms/lmt even means...

Re: tc sounds...
LMS-R just came out in the past couple of years during TC's "return"
TC stopped making subs for Eclipse YEARS before LMS technology had been invented.
It's simple fact.

Re: tc sounds...
lmt not lms sorry....
like i said it has been over a year since i even looked at it....
from what i found way back when ( during research ) the 8200 IS an LMS made by TC for Eclipse, the 8210 was an LMT and great specs but not near as good....my memory is faded.... but even now a simple google search pulled up gobs of info supporting that...
from what i remember tho now that i think on it is we determined that it was a tc9 ? if that sounds right? i really cant remember ... the last time i even took it out of the enclosure was well over 1 yr ago research was 2007/08 iirc?...i found some motor pics tho that match exactly...
so someone that knows for sure wanna pipe in here?... i honestly have no clue... I do know it is definately a TC sub....I have seen the 8200 and 8210 side by side and the baskets and motors are nothing alike...the sw8200/9200 smother the 8210...
