Okay - I am going to start production next week... and the 6.5" will be in 8 ohm OR 4 ohm configuration (which will eventually show up on 8s and 10s).

If the price is right I would go for these. I'm looking high and low for a 6.5" comp set and these would fit the bill for the midbass woofer.

Re: Sundown NeoPro 6.5" Prototypes

Maybe this applies under the other thread, but how about mounting depth on the 8" and 10"?

I am still kicking the **** out of myself over everything I learned with my 1st big build: Extremis are wicked awesome, but if I started all over today I'd start with a whole bunch of these 8's or 10's in my roof... but there's not much clearance.

(note of all the things I'd do different, mounting my front stage in the roof is NOT one that I would change!)

The ID of the Neo hangs over a bit so you can see it through the pole vent. Also it's a bumped back plate so the shaping is interesting on it

We have about 200 RMS rated per side on them and 200 RMS rated on a set of Selenium ST-350 tweeters; two bridged (8 ohms bridged per pair of channels) 4-channel full-range Class-D prototype amps (no ETA, no price, don't ask, *laughs*).
as asked previously, do you have the mounting depth?

I asked Bob at CSS about E70s and FR125SRs and he said he'd let me try them. I was like "wha??"

Re: Sundown NeoPro 6.5" Prototypes

Some more actual pics now that I have them... I may go to the old style spade connectors for the 6.5" as the sprint terminals don't work as well on this frame as the other sizes... but otherwise pretty happy with them so far :

Sundown NeoPro 6.5" Prototypes

I got some photos of the prototypes in from my factory -- they are looking good. Of course the terminals will be bent down and whatnot in production. The motor is equal to the NeoPro-8 model.

The only negative is that I am not sure how pricing will go on these Neo drivers -- Neo prices are going crazy and it may result in the NeoPro drivers rising in price.

For reference... I got Neo quotes for my big Neo SPL motor and it was 300% higher than in 2009 -- no joke!

BUT I will try to keep making them if possible as people really do enjoy them

We'll probably do some testing in Derrick's ride to see how they do.
