Re: SS Astro Re-Build

So the Van used to have a pig tail of wires hanging out of the back to run the podium. Im building panels and slappin on some fabric to clean em up and figured might as well clean up the podium wires as well. i used a 4 pin trailor harness, a couple RCA barrel's and some CA glue =]

The matching side I attached to the podium. its a lot cleaner and simple to use. hidden away =]

Re: SS Astro Re-Build

But not only that I got one other exciting piece from them =] A maxxlink. I was really interested in this piece for the astro van. Since the Astro uses 4 amps I wanted one control that would control all of them at the same time. This unit will do that and so much more!! The line driver section of it will be a big help keeping the voltage high and clean on the input sections, I also may run them all in slave mode and let the maxxlink do all the processing so that there all running identically.

Re: SS Astro Re-Build

I also got some goodies from the guys over at Maxxsonics, With the bottom end pretty much killin the mids/highs I wanted to add some speakers to the pillers. I got (2) sets of the MB Quart ONXY 4"ers. This weekend hopefully some pods will get built and slapped in early next week. Heres the pics =]

Cant wait to get these hooked up!! I will do a review on them once I have them powered up

Re: SS Astro Re-Build

So it only took a couple songs to destroy the door, it ripped the sheey metal in the front and rear of the window opening as well as broke the window frame in half..
I wanted to fix it so I took it over to the guys at Mechanics Sparks, NV - Custom Performance Restoration They have some of the sickest built cars in the area out here.
Carnage!!

Getting fixed!!
