efficiency and box rise are not related.

do not make the mistake of getting hung up on box rise being a bad thing. its not. its just a shocker when you see it for the first time.

Cadence TXA-1000D Clamp Results

The voltage was varying around 13.6-14.2v throughout all of the tests. All HU settings on flat, no eq or any boosts of any kind. Gains set properly via RCA voltage. HU volume was at 58 of 62; it clips at 59.

It is wired to 2 ohms nominal via my Alpine Type-R. Although with box rise the most it will see is about 430 watts.

Cadence TXA-1000d

4 Ohm RMS Power: 1 x 350 Watts @ 13.8 Volts
2 Ohm RMS Power: 1 x 650 Watts @ 13.8 Volts
1 Ohm RMS Power: 1 x 1000 Watts @ 13.8 Volts
2 Amps Bridged 2 Ohm RMS Power: 2000 Watts

Frequency---Watts-----Ohms-----Vac-----Aac-----Box Rise
32----------------432-------4.68-------45------9.6-----2.68
35----------------368---------6---------47.2----7.8----4
40----------------307---------8---------49.5----6.2----6
45----------------247.5------10--------49.5-----5------8
50----------------332.5------6.7-------47.5-----7------4.7

In conclusion, this amp is underrated seeing as how at 4 ohms is claims to do 350w but really it does that at 6 ohms. My guess would be that at 2 ohms it would do about 800 watts. Great amp, but apparently I need a more efficient box.
