Bump.

Hitachi router has been sold and Porter Cable router is currently on eBay (just search 'Porter Cable Router 8902' and you'll find it) with two days left.

Re: FS: Routers and woodworking stuff

Yeah I don't trust the USPS... I'd rather be cautious and overpack then under pack.

Enjoy them my man and have a great weekend!

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not in need of any 12V equipment. In fact I have some that I'm trying to sell...

They are carbide tipped not HSS. They will go through screws no problem if you just happen to plow into some...

Re: FS: Routers and woodworking stuff

well like i said i pull the screws out, then round over the edges, then I put them back in counting sinking them just enough to be flush. I did a test a couple months ago. using MDF and titebond 2, glued 2 pieces together clamped it. ended up breaking the mdf not the glue joint putting pressure on the joint.....thats why I like screws glue pretty much just holds at the surface screws hold all the way threw 1 piece and a inch or so deep into the next.

Yeah I know that the glue will bond the wood so the screws aren't really needed after it dries but I just can't talk myself into pulling them out

Maybe I will take an old box and pull the screws and see If I can mess it up

I use screws to build boxes lol... I don't want to countersink too far in because you lose strength. So If I want to do a big roundover it will most definitely cut through the heads.

What ya got? I can't think of anything I need or want off the top of my head but you never know.

BTW, the Hitachi with the Router Raizer + the Kreg insert plate = one of the best router tables out there.
