Re: Computer help :(

Its not the driver memory dump. Its that because when I did it, thats when it started going slow. I'm just now saying something because I can't put up with it anymore.

Re: Computer help :(

if your talking bout the driver memory dump. that wouldn't cause it. its more than likely a bunch of random **** from over time building up. i like to use ccleaner to clean the registry and remove stuff from the startup list about once a month.

but if you wanna go ahead and undo the changes go ahead open reg edit and floow the steps i listed before:

hkeey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\contr ol\session manager\memory management

once your there change "1" to "0" in the protectnonpagedpool key

then restart computer

Re: Computer help :(

I need to undo what I did. It makes my computer turn on REALLY slow. I can't remember what I did.

Every time you see (>) think of it as a step or a number.

1.
2.

start>run>type in cmd>(window appears) type in regedit and press enter.
go to
hkey_local_machine > system > currentcontrolset > control > session manager > memory management

once you are memory management double click on it and change the value to a 1

lkwb how long it done this have you updated your drivers lately if so try rolling them back in device manager.

but a quick thing to do to probably stop the bsod is add a key in your registry it will stoip that driver from corrupting the memory. (thats whats happening judging by that xdo code)

so if you wanna try going to this key in the registry and changing it to a 1 then reboot and try skype again =P

hkeey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\contr ol\session manager\memory management

once your there add that 1 to the protectnonpagedpool key

if you are confused on how to do this i will pm you with more in depth instructions =P just kinda hopin you can use regedit
Do these steps?

hkey_local_machine > system > currentcontrolset > control > session manager > memory management

once you reach momory mangment on the right panel there will be files. find protectnonpagedpool and double click it and erase the 0 and put 1

if its not created the make a new dword key named that and put it as 1
Or these steps.

Re: Computer help :(

It's a tcpip protocol issue. You have to make sure it'd installed correctly. I'm at work, so I don't remember off the top of my head how to correct it.

I figured it out. Its the mic. I did some Skype and ooVoo video testing and the camera was fine. But when I used the mic, it crashed. Its crashed when I tested on Skype, ooVoo, and some audio test in the audio section of the control panel. I looked up my audio driver online, and I re-downloaded it (I think). It still acts the same. Maybe you could help me.

My netbook is a:

Gateway Lt2016u (The one with Verizon Broadband windows xp)
