You can use the oscilloscope to find out when your factory line level clips, you can use it to find out when the line output converter clips, and when your amplifier itself clips.
You won't lose much SQ, if any. The power amplifier in your factory system is the real variable here. The LC6i is excellent, but if fed a dirty signal, it'll produce one. That said the factory system is likely decent.

I am looking to buy a new 2013 dodge dart it comes with an 8.4 inc touchscreen headunit that controls everything from the radio & navigation to the climate control so removing it doesnt seem like it would be straight forward... so i was wondering if anyone on here has had experience with any good line drivers or processors that will take a high level in aka speaker wire and give me a low level rca out so that i can put my amps and subs that i already have into this new vehicle i need 6 channels front rear and sub out. Any suggestions or relavant experience much appreciated, I have never put a system without putting in an aftermarket HU.
thanks in advance.
