Re: HDD question (integration)
Figured it out. It was the way it was lay'd out that caused it not to read. Was able to format the whole drive as Fat32 and was able to get it to read. Thanks for you assistance Darkmage1991

Got is fairly new the ng it may not support it. Do MBR and make sure u got 1 of them partitions set as primary

Re: HDD question (integration)
Nope doesn't work. Won't even read it. Two partitions of 30 gb two songs on each and the rest unallocated. Automatically gives me Error 23 (drive needs to be formatted as Fat32, Fat16). Which it is confirmed as FAT32
Now there are two layouts I can choose:
MBR (Master Boot Record) and GPT (GUID Partition Table)
Believe I ran GPT

KK I will let you know if it works. If not we can go from there

just put 2 songs on each partition and quickly test see if it reads all 4.
KK will try that hear soon... Transferring what little I have on it so I don't lose it...

if still no go partition it into something smaller and a different format. try ntfs and fat. MAYBE just maybe if its trully limited to 32gb you can partition the drive into 30gb segments. and load each one with music and it MIGHT read them as one hole drive. not realising its over 32gb. i doubt it will work that way but u never know.
but anyways to power it use a power inverter to power it. something to step down the voltage from 14v to 12.or use a 120v plug and use a power inverter from 12>120v
Even though it was formatted to Fat32. Used an external program separate from windows (pretty sure it was from Seagate). I will retry it here and see what it brings up.

That MIGHT do it. If you are interested I can call Massive for you and find out.

HDD question (integration)
I'm getting really, really tired of constantly changing out my USB's, and IPod (and then not having enough space to hold all my songs). I've got a mix of Wav/mp3 files (Wav anytime I can get them).
I know there are issues running external HDD's off an HU. Such as not enough power to run the external HDD (even if it does its not a constant power supply) and then having the HU read the HDD.
The issue here is to find something that will power the HDD, read the HDD and then hook up to my MS-8's aux input (L/R rca's). I could run it to the HU but then run into the issue of it reading it (over 32 GB). I've tried reformatting it to FAT32 which it gives me an error (basically HDD is over 32 GB and HU won't read)
