That is awesome of you. Sonic did exactly what I thought they would. They raised the price $50 to $299 shipped. I figured it wouldn't last, but it doesn't matter on my end anymore because I got my MTX TA92001 back a couple days ago. Between buying the Belva for $300 or buying back my MTX amp for $300, I chose the MTX. I mean the amp was around $1400 when it sold back around 2005. It's pretty darn efficient too, stays ice cold with the cooling fans running, calls for a 300 amp external fuse, and it was still too much power for the HCCA 12.2 which is rated at 2000 rms. I ran this amp full tilt on 1/0, 150 amp alt, and a 35 aH agm, that's it. Uber efficient, lots of power to play with.

Re: 200$ budget, need decent 2ohm power

With kicker cvrs, the brz1200 and ap1500 should fit perfect. You would be surprised at that cheap pwr. I had the ap1500 and it was just as strong as my old hifonics 2006d. Hope this helps.

Just looking around for more info on the Belva amp. I've found a few discussions here and there and a gut shot pic from an old topic on ROE actually:

And a viddy of one on 4 DB Drive K7's at 2 ohm:

Audiopipe APSM1300 1000 RMS Mono Mini Amplifier

possibly strap a pair of those at 2 ohms.

i'm sure you'd get well over 1k at 2 ohms. Plenty of headroom

It is on the large size but they are rather well built and do rated.

They look like 1/0 to me, with 8 gauge speaker outputs:

Yes, no, maybe so?

Re: 200$ budget, need decent 2ohm power

apsm1500.1 gets my vote, with a hifonics a close second.
Audiopipe APSM-1500 1500 Watt Mono D Mini Amplifier : APSM1500 : VMInnovations.com

You can get the apsm1500.1 for $120 if you look hard enough/wait for a sale.

Amplifiers

The 5000d is most likely over-rated, but the guts look stout, which needs a 200-240 amp fuse depending on ohm load. 250 amp fuse will work fine.

The 2000d comes with 3 40 amp fuses (120 amps) and is rated at 1200 rms.

The 3000d needs a 150 amp fuse and is rated at 1800 rms.

They have been around for a few months. I just learned about them a few days ago, so I'm still looking around for more info on them too. There are a few discussions here and there, but I haven't seen any clamp tests as of yet.

Re: 200$ budget, need decent 2ohm power

Hifonics brz 1200/1700 and Mb Quart Onyx 1000/1500 are good budget amps as well. I clamped 492 watts out of my Onyx 1000 rising to 3.5 ohms and dropping to 13.9 volts. So any of the amps mentioned should do what you want them to. Personally I would go with one of the brz's just because they don't have plastic mounting feet like the Quarts, and I think they look better than the audiopipes.
