well i bought working one's and this one has been a paperweight for some time, im just trying to see if i can get anything from it,
I feel like a child. "did you find what you were looking for?" NO, i made it worse

. just doing the charging did at least some, then i had to open the valves and poke at stuff...
well back to just charging...

Did you find what you were looking for? Honestly, take it for a core for a new one. But I would try to use an AGM charger first....

honestly, idk, I did manage to remove the gas valves on one side, and can barely see inside with a light. Is there anything i can do? try to add distilled water or something? i assume there is nothing.

I dont have an agm specific charger, I should get one though.
I have tried doing the parasitic charging (using a second charged battery) and it hasnt helped at all. It may prove useful after my desulfator.
Ill also try shorting it. But my main plan was to desulfate till it charges up to <16 volts, then discharge with the million candlelight light, and redo.

And yeah, its agm. I tried to open what appears to be the valve area, not to aggressively to see if i could do anything, but with no avail. Unless i need to get in there and ruin the top to remove the valve area. (i mean i couldnt remove the valve cap area at all..)

Connect it to another battery in parallel that is already fully charged. Connect a charger to the good battery. Let them sit for 20-30 min or so then disconnect it. Then use a piece of 1/0 or similar wire to quickly short the battery 10 or so times. Only do it for a second though or the battery will do very bad things. Reconnect it to the good battery and the charger and see if it works.

yeah, it has been a paper weight for some time, but why not experiment. Might i ask how you are using ac voltages to charge some batteries, because some forums also suggest the ac voltage could blow off the sulfation as well.

I mean this battery was so bad that turning on a million candle power light would drop it to 10 volts in less than 10 seconds. It was a total paper weight, and from the 10 min i had it on the rectifier lightbulb design, it holds 12 volts for a min with the same light.

epsom salt will help with sulfate. but its a agm? and sealed? I always thot high volt. but this is from a guy who uses 120 ac to charge d batteries.

salvaged a bridge rectifier from an old computer psu, and only ran it for about 10 min and the battery did get reconditioned a little, ill try to run it for a few hours tomorrow.

Somethings wrong in the battery, when charging it jumps a volt up and back. maybe this will fix it.

my shuriken battery has hard sulfate based on its condition, holds voltage, but try to pull some amps and the battery dies nearly instantly. well at first i disconnected my starter battery and hooked up the dead shuriken, and turning the headlights on, it would last 5 seconds til it hit 6 volts.. :O... so i charged it up, and retried.. now it lasted 11 seconds before it hit 11.7 volts. after like 5 tries with a manual battery charger, i got it to last 34 seconds before hitting 11.7 volts. and i tried a few more times but no gain.
I read that you could desulfate with a welder (like nicad batteries)... i spent like 3 hours googling and reading, and im contemplating just tapping the battery with an arc welder a bit, but idk if it would help. I have this arc welder (http://www.airgas.com/documents/pdf/...ncoln/e240.pdf) and apparently the output is 25 volts and i could set the amperage low. would this help... im also tempted to make a desulfator from a pc psu but that will take time. and i dont want to take the welder apart. so would just tapping the battery with the welder work?
and its essentially a dead battery i wouldnt mind trying a few things (let alone, key in, turned to ACC with fog lights drains the bat from 13.4 to 11 volts in a matter of 5 seconds).
