As already stated, they'll probably work decently well. If you have large feet, you'll probably be knocking into them periodically. If you have inclement weather, then you may consider a different option.
Make sure that you have adequate depth prior to purchasing drivers. I'd also deaden the backside of the panels with your dampener product of choice.

The kenwood will work but you'll just have to use the passive crossover. They really do sound good though. meaning the kenwood. I have owned several.

You have the right idea about TA. Match everything to the farthest driver...usually your sub. If you can do it it helps to isolate the drivers separately. mute everything and set the ta on the tweets, then the mids by themselves.

I have owned CDT from the ES and HD series. Great drivers and the crossovers were pretty good too. If you can afford the HD I would highly recommend them. Have you ever been on the CDT store? They're refurbs and demos that carry a warranty directly from CDT. Shop CDT Audio - Sets

Quick question, if you are you going kick panel then why put a mid/tweeter in the dash? If you are running a comp set in the kick panel, putting the ES-02 on the dash defeats the purpose. The point of the kickpanel is trying to equalize the path lengths and then your are placing a seperate speaker with a whole seperate frequency range and whole other set of paths lengths in the mix.

I would just run the comp set in the kick panel with the midbass in doors or if you want to run the es 02, I would see if it would fit in the tweeter spot of the q logics and then run the midbass in the kicks or doors.

Kenwoods sound real good but there has never been one that has had bandpass capability.

Re: q-logic kicks yah or nah??

they sound good they could deff use the deadening but for what they are it is expected to need the support. if you want better get fiberglass ones but these are not bat at all.

Re: q-logic kicks yah or nah??

the kick panels in my Tahoe.... were ok. not a perfect fit. wore the paint down were the door opened and closed... my feet and passengers feet would always bump into.. not cool if its crappy weather like snow.

They were ok, imaging were good. If I were going to do again I would just custom build some... Depends if your good with fiberglass. If your not then I would buy the kick panels. Not worth paying a shop to build and over charge you.

q-logic kicks yah or nah??

finally got my new headunit today kenwood execlon 997 replacing my eclipse 8443 anyways. wanting to start build my system up in my truck this is what I had in mine

cdt 6.5 comp in q-logic kicks
cdt es-02 mid_tweeter up on the dash
cdt m6+ in factory door location for front mounted subs or Hd 8's in the doors

up for opinions also thought about just using door for the componet set and put 1 of my old boston pro 12.5 behind the rear seat of the truck. not sure on how good the q-logic kicks are I know they need to dampend well also thought about putting a mdf ring on the back to help beef them up. thanks guys
