I'd go with the second one I think you'll be happier with it

Would if I could but I'm ballin' on a budget. That's how it works when you're a full time student and work part time. Plus my fiancée is in graduate school. I'm making use of the equipment I have. Besides, I was setting off car alarms with 1 Type R. I'm sure I'll be happy with 2.

Here is the current mockup at 3.2 cubic feet and tuned to 38.8 (too high in my opinion, was aiming for 35). Sorry for the delay, work and school are busy.

And here is the other, a little larger volume and lower tune. 3.787 cubic feet tuned to 34.75 hz.

Probably the old ones, I've had them for many years. I used to have 1 in a massive box that I originally meant for two of them and it was obnoxiously loud.

Dual Alpine Type R 12" enclosure questions

Currently I'm designing an enclosure for my Chevy S10 extended cab to go behind the seats. I've heard that the Type R 12"s shine in about 2 cubic feet per sub but does anyone have the golden numbers? Is more better? Less? What should I tune the box to? The box I want to make would be about 5 2/3 cubic feet because I think the port will take away a significant portion of the space. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you want to see the design, I'd be more than happy to post it if it would help.
