The new wire came in today. Nice and flexible. I was not expecting the wire to be so soft.

Re: Any other options?

Today I built a new box and the sups are wired down to 2ohms again. Just to see what they will sound like. I'll post up in the enclosure section in a few.

Re: Any other options?

Yea under normal circumstances most of the non-mainstream amps can be run at .5 ohm in a normal box. If you start using larges boxes or large port area or spending a lot of time making the box more efficient the u may have some problems

This is exactly what I'm doing now. The amp is doing well, no over heating or cutting out. I just ordered 1/0 guage wire to upgrade from the 4 guage I'm running now. I ordered enough to go from battery to distribution Block and to redo the big 3 from 4 to 1/0 guage.

If I'm lucky the amp will stay happy and I won't need to shop for another.

I'd go with either of these plenty of power at 2 ohms and if you decide to drop your impedance later on then it will work at 1 ohm as well they're both close to your budget as well.

Re: Any other options?

or if you do not have the money keep the gain down. make sure the amp you have does not get hot and it should last.

Re: Any other options?

Honestly, I'd say your best option is to sell everything you've bought and start over. A couple Sundown E10's on a MBQ1000 would own those Alpines.

Any other options?

I just picked up a pair of alpine type-s10 but I made the mistake of getting the duel 2 ohm. I'm powering with an audiopipe 1501d @ 2 ohms and this amp just doesn't do them justice. I decided to run the amp at .5 ohms (yup I went and did it) and these subs sing in a crapy prefab box (already made design and new box build will be on its way).

I don't expect the amp to last very long so I'm shopping for a 1000-1200 watt amp @ 2 ohms.
I am looking at this so far......

Do I have any other options? I would like a cool and efficient amp that will put out the power the subs want. Thanks.
