Quality-5/5
Actual Power-4/5
Reliability-5/5
Cooling-3/5
Overall-4/5
First let me say that this amp needs ALOT of ventalation. They get hot really easily. Mine has been into protection mode many times but with a quick cooling of a fan, it goes right back to normal.
Now for the good, it is a solid amp. It puts out 1000 watts at 1 ohm at 12 volts and 1300 watts at 14.4 volts. It can also be strapped with another VR-1000D with a flip of two switches and an RCA cable.
Having owned this amp for over 2 years now, I would HIGHLY recommend this amp for anyone who wants a rock solid amp for a good price. The main thing I love about this amp is it feels like a quality product. It has a solid feeling case and I love that about it. This amp feels like it will be as strong today as it will be 10 years from now.
Crossfire also has a hell of a warranty and have excellent customer service. I love this amp so much that I bought 4 of them
FYI, Crossfire learns from each previous models. Their new XP series amps have BUILT IN cooling fans and make even more Power at 14.4 volts.

Strange. I have one, I beat the hell out of it and it never gets hot and has never went into protection.
I think mine gets hot because I either:
a) don't have the gains set properly
b) have them in a poorly ventelated area
c) even though my voltage says 14.8 with the engine running, my volts still drop when I'm really on it. These MTs take some serious Power to keep em moving good.
